Collage

Stains and blemishes of old papers are the most sublime element for me to start compositions and layering.

Precise scissor work is a rarer occurrence that creates more space for ripping and freeing.

Using the sensory component of my memory, my hands are guided to pile and combine the different textures and colours of the papers organically, without planning.

Collaging for me is a mindful exercise where visually pleasing compositions and spontaneous playfulness are interchangeable and oddly personal.
