Fledge

(When I got my Wings)

——

FLEDGE (When I got my wings) was made using the pages of 5 of my Moleskine diaries (2013-2017). I exposed them to the British weather, ripped them all up and dyed them in a red cabbage dye.

It’s made of nearly 4000 pieces of paper that contain names, places and stories of those 5 years. The box was found discarded in my neighbourhood. The feather comes from Abney Park Cemetery, London.

Possibly the most cathartic book I ever made.
