I Love You (BSL)

——

This book was made in response to the prompt: Body Language as part of the #areyoubookenough challenge.

The missing lens in a pair of broken sunglasses that I’d found on the street was to become a book.

I used eco-dyed paper and slow hand stitching to write I Love You in sign language. The message was meant from me to the reader. But the highly reflective nature of the lens becomes a mirror, so that when holding the glasses the reader may practice self-love.

Found glasses, paper, cotton thread and eco-dyed fabric.
